A heads up for this Wednesday the 22nd. Mosquito Control will be applying mosquito spray via those bright yellow aircraft once again. Yes, they fly low and no they are not in distress. Thank you.

March 15th Georgetown County will be once again hosting the South Carolina Breakfast Club for an incredible breakfast spread. And yes, chef Gene is once again doing the cooking. For our local FB followers, it will be a good morning to bring the young ones down to see some cool aircraft.

The Georgetown County Airport has become a great economic development tool for businesses in the county but we are also having fun. This beautiful yellow, radial engine biplane is our newest tenant at the airport. Next week a North American AT6 arrives. It’s going to be a beautiful sight seeing these flying overhead.

Did you know that there are two On Demand Charter operators operating out of the Georgetown County Airport? Need to get to Columbia for a meeting and don't want to spend half a day driving? Have business meetings in different states/cities and you do not want to afford drive times, overnight lodgings, etc.; charter a flight and be back home for dinner. Charter is Smarter!

It has been a bit since we last posted, but we have been busy. Our runway 11/29 reconstruction project is about complete. Huge thanks going out to SC Aeronautics Commission, without them this would have impossible. Also a shout out to the contractor Ben Cox. They have done an incredible job. Under budget and ahead of schedule is music to everyone’s ears.

Heads up, those yellow low flying aircraft will be operating Friday sunup until 10am. Thank goodness, mosquitos are thick right now. Georgetown County Mosquito Control is planning to conduct Aerial Spray Operations on Friday, June 13th from Sunrise to 10am, in the following areas: Maryville, Esterville, Pawleys Island, Plantersville, and Santee.
