Ward Hall is seeking candidates to apply for the position of Maintenance and Restoration Worker/Supervisor. Basic carpentry, electrical, and brick/stone masonry skills are a few of the attributes that are being sought. Comprehensive property management of a 12,000 square foot house museum and 40 acres of lawn, gardens, and fields mowed for hay is an overall description. Scott County, KY residents only, please. Hours are mostly flexible. A minimum of 24 hours per week is expected. Flexibility of schedule is sometimes necessary. Scott County Independent Contractor License is required, and very easy to obtain. Able to perform manual labor is a must. Interested applicants may respond to email: [email protected] with a resume.

Ward Hall will be open for tours this weekend, July 4th & 5th. 1-6 p.m. Guided tour start times will be 1 o’clock, 2:15 pm, 3:30 pm, and the last guided tour will begin at 4:45 pm.
Self-guided tours are always an option.

Ward Hall will be open today and tomorrow, June 13 & 14, from 1 - 6 p.m. for tours. Admission is $10. Pay at the door. We are still on the lookout for team- oriented volunteers with a desire to learn the back story and history of Ward Hall and the Ward / Johnson families of the late 1700’s and early to mid-1800’s. Help is needed with seasonal gardening, restoration / carpentry, window repair, fund raising, tour guide / docent training and recruitment, just to name a few of the opportunities.
