Jacob, a young man from Indiana, designed an American flag for a school art project. Creating the flag he used 4,466 army men painted red, white and blue; working more than 52 hours on his project that respects and honors the men and women who serve America in the Military. Sure hope the teacher gave him an A+++ for an outstanding job!

So I am officially no longer working for Brown County Veteran Services. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the years and to the ones I struggled against thank you for making me a stronger better person and service officer. I want nothing but continued success for BCVS and I feel confident that under the continued guidance of our Board of Commissioners, Rick Banyea, Rich Dyer, Dick Courts, Bill Graybill, and David Long, Tyler Crank as director and his crew, Kenny Richmond, Mariah Bonar, and Adam Wylie will do a great job. The veterans in the Brown County Area are a great group to work with and for. To everyone that came to my retirement thank you so much. You all have been by my side and helped every time I ever reached out. I truly love you all like family. I am going to miss the daily interaction I’m sure but it’s time for me to take care of Cheryl. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.♥️

We had a great group of veterans show up for the annual BCVS Veterans Memorial Breakfast.

So Friday is my last day at Brown County Veterans Services. I am really going to miss my veterans. I feel my “family “ has grown tremendously over the past 10 years. I would love to see everyone for one last hug so if you can make it to the Memorial Day Breakfast tomorrow that would be great!
Hope to see you all at The American Legion in Georgetown at 0830, May 29th.
