We would like to congratulate Paramedic Calli Lykins on passing her National Registry exam yesterday. Calli is the daughter of Flight Nurse/Paramedic Derrick Lykins. Calli has spent many hours over the past year going to class, attending clinicals and doing ride time to achieve this milestone. Calli we look forward to working with you in the future. Congratulations to Sarah for completing 50 patient flights! Sarah has been a flight medic with 89s since June 2026, she came to us from 101s in Lancaster, OH where she started her flight career in November 2025.

Congratulations to our newest flight nurse Randy, on his 1st flight yesterday evening. Randy hit the ground running getting his first flight 10 minutes after arriving for his first flight shift! New flight crew start their career without any wings for their name badge and are presented with wings following completion of their first flight.

We are standing behind our 133 family after the devastating loss of Maddy. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We will never forget you or all the lives you touched.

It is with profound sadness that Air Evac 133 shares the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved friend and Flight Nurse, Maddy von Korff.

Maddy was an exceptional flight nurse whose compassion, dedication, and clinical excellence touched countless patients, families, and coworkers throughout her career. While her professional accomplishments were remarkable, those who knew Maddy will remember her most for the person she was—kind, selfless, genuine, and always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting smile.

Maddy was more than a teammate; she was family. She was a trusted friend, a mentor, and a source of strength for so many. Her presence made Air Evac 133 a better place, and her impact on our crew and community will never be forgotten.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that you keep Maddy’s family, friends, and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for the overwhelming support shown to our Air Evac 133 family as we mourn this heartbreaking loss.
