Recently, a young mother of premature twins came to Friendship Place after exhausting every option to find the specialized formula her newborns desperately needed.

God led us to a local store manager who gladly set aside the formula she needed at no cost. That day, she walked into Friendship Place afraid her babies would go hungry. But, she walked away with hope, nourishment, and a reminder of God's faithfulness.

Her story reminds us of Luke 18:1–8, where Jesus teaches us to pray and never give up. Sometimes, faith means refusing to accept defeat and trusting that God is already making a way even when we can't yet see it.

At Friendship Place, we believe there's always an opportunity to be the friend someone needs.

As the cost of living continues to rise, so does the need in our community.

We're excited to share that Friendship Place recently received a $1,000 Spark Good Local Grant from Walmart! These funds will help stock our Blessing Box with canned goods and pantry meal items, ensuring our neighbors have access to food when they need it most.

Full Circle Moments ✨ You may remember Natasha from previous posts as she celebrated earning her degree and pursuing her dream of becoming an educator. When we first introduced you to her over a year ago, she was participating in our Georgetown LIVES mentorship program and building her career path.

Today, we're proud to share that she's a licensed esthetician and recently led our Georgetown LIVES Saturday Session on face and body skin health. She shared tips for healthy skincare while encouraging participants to invest in their own well-being and confidence.

Moments like these remind us that mentorship comes full circle. As neighbors grow in knowledge, confidence, and purpose, they are empowered to pour back into the lives of others.

God is still doing immeasurably more. We're talking 18,050 pounds more.

For the past month, the Friendship Place team has been praying for God to provide the resources needed to serve our neighbors. We prayed that our kitchen would remain equipped, our Blessing Box would stay stocked, and that we could continue saying "yes" to families facing food insecurity.

Through the generosity of individuals, churches, local businesses, and community partners, Friendship Place has since received more than 18,050 pounds of donated food!

What once seemed impossible became a powerful reminder that God provides in extraordinary ways.
