🪏⚽ Williamson County broke ground on its synthetic turf replacement project at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park during a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, May 28.

The project will replace four fields with synthetic turf and replace the eight-lane running track around field No. 6. The improvements are part of a partnership between Williamson County and Lonestar Soccer Club.

Williamson County Commissioners Court proudly proclaimed May 19, 2026, as Round Rock Dragons Girls Soccer Day in recognition of the team’s incredible UIL State 6A Division I Championship season!
The Dragons fought back to defeat Keller 3-1 in the state title match, capped a dominant 6-0 playoff run and made history by advancing past the regional finals for the first time ever.
With championship grit, standout talent, academic excellence and a remarkable coaching staff, these student-athletes made Williamson County proud.

Williamson County offices will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day as we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Regular county operations will resume Tuesday, May 26.
Please note there will be no Commissioners Court meeting that day.
