🚒 Quick, Professional Response by 2nd Shift 🚒

Excellent work by our 2nd Shift crews today safely securing a structure after a vehicle struck the building, knocking out block and walls in two separate locations.

Thanks to their swift and coordinated efforts, the scene was stabilized and made safe. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Great job today by all of 2nd Shift—your professionalism and commitment to safety do not go unnoticed. 👏

We are very excited for the 4th annual Caleb Conley softball tournament this weekend June 5-7th. Join us Saturday the 6th at Marshal park from 9am to 5pm for our vendor fair, we welcome 20+ vendors, there will be baked goods, crafts, a face painter, made to order t-shirt and so much more! Come out and support our local small businesses!

🚒 A Great Day at the Firehouse 🚒

We had the pleasure of hosting the Hearts and Hands Home School Collective at the station today, and it was a great visit for everyone involved.

Our crews always enjoy the opportunity to show off our equipment, talk about what we do, and answer questions—but the best part is seeing the excitement and curiosity from the kids. From exploring the trucks to learning about fire safety, it’s a reminder of how important these moments are in building connections within our community.

Thank you to Hearts and Hands Home School Collective for spending part of your day with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to seeing you again!

We had some special visitors stop by the station recently, and it’s safe to say it made our day just as much as theirs.

Our crews always appreciate the opportunity to show off our equipment, answer questions, and give a behind-the-scenes look at what we do. But the best part is seeing the smiles and excitement on the kids’ faces—it’s what community is all about.

Today, the Georgetown Fire Department pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it is a time to reflect on the cost of freedom and to pay tribute to those who gave everything to protect it. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.

As firefighters, we understand the commitment to serve something greater than ourselves. Today, we stand in solemn gratitude alongside our community in remembering our fallen heroes.

We encourage everyone to take a moment today to reflect, remember, and honor.
