𝗚𝗼 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗼… 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵! 🐟

This past Thursday, our Go Van Go crew headed to Catfish Parlour for lunch, with Fernando, our new Fleet Manager, behind the wheel AND behind the camera! 📸

This is what we love about Go Van Go. It’s a chance to get out, share a meal, laugh with friends and maybe get to know someone you@ wouldn’t have met otherwise.

Faith in Action Georgetown provides free transportation for our clients, Georgetown seniors 65+ who no longer drive. That includes Go Van Go grocery runs and group outings, plus one-on-one rides with ourCatfish Parlour wonderful volunteer drivers to doctor appointments, errands and other essential destinations. 🚙And along the way, our clients and volunteers often get to know each other and form some pretty special friendships.🤗

Join Us for the 9/11 National Day of Service

This local effort is part of a nationwide movement to honor and remember through service on the 9/11 National Day of Service. This day stands as a permanent tribute to those who were lost or injured, as well as those who rose in service. As the single largest day of service in the United States, 9/11 Day reminds us that coming together in a spirit of kindness — despite our differences — has the power to change lives and strengthen our communities.

All ages are welcome to join us!

Meet at Christ Lutheran Church (510 Luther Dr, Georgetown, TX) to register and grab a T-shirt. T-shirts are first come, first served.

🎤 8:30 – 8:50 AM | Opening Program

🛠️ 9:00 AM | Volunteer Extravaganza Begins
Stay onsite to volunteer or disperse to your assigned nonprofit location.

🎉 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM | Celebration
Enjoy a FREE bounce house, live music, lunch, and games.

National Senior Citizens Day was established as a day to recognize the achievements of older adults and provide an opportunity to show appreciation for their dedication, accomplishments, and lifelong contributions. 💛

At Faith in Action, honoring seniors is not only something we do in words. It is something we live out through action. We exist to help older adults get where they need to go, stay connected, and continue living with dignity and independence.

To our senior neighbors: You’ve paved the road for so many of us, and we’re honored to help keep you connected to the people and places you love.
