You shouldn’t have to wait until you’re standing in the voting booth to wonder, “What does this office actually do?” 🗳️

That’s part of why I’m having these Finish The Ballot conversations.

I asked Jason Embry for Leander ISD, candidate for Leander ISD Board of Trustees, Place 7, to share—in his own words—why voters should care about their local school board race.

His answers are in the carousel. My ask to you is simple:
👉 Learn which races will be on your ballot.
👉 Find out what those offices are responsible for.
👉 Research the people asking to serve in them.
👉 Then make your choice all the way down the ballot.

Jason’s race is not countywide, so not every Williamson County voter will see it.

But if you know someone who votes in Leander ISD, send this post their way.
As a judicial candidate, I cannot endorse other candidates. This collaboration is not an endorsement—it’s voter education.

A lot of attention goes to the top of the ballot—but your choices don’t stop there.

Knowing what each office does can make it easier to walk into the voting booth prepared to make an informed choice from the top of your ballot all the way to the bottom.

That’s why we created this guide for Williamson County voters. 📍

📌 SAVE IT to come back to before you vote.
↗️ SHARE IT to your Story so someone in your community sees it too.
📲 SEND IT to your family group chat, neighborhood chat, coworkers or friends.
🗳️ And before you vote, encourage someone else to learn what’s on their ballot too.

One share could help another Williamson County voter walk into the polls more informed, more confident and ready to make every choice count.

Don’t just finish your vote. Help someone else finish theirs.

Williamson County has changed a lot over the last 20 years. I've had the privilege of calling it home while watching our communities grow and change right along with it.

Now, I'm asking for the opportunity to serve this county in a new way—as Judge of the 512th District Court.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more about my experience, the values that guide my approach to the law, and what the 512th District Court means for our community.

Because when you reach the judicial races on your ballot, I want you to feel confident that you know who you're choosing—and why.

I'm Leslie Booker. I look forward to earning your vote.

A couple of weeks ago someone asked me if I was still running for judge. I sure am and I want to tell you everyone why. 1 Week from today I’ll be in Leander. Please join me to discuss this upcoming election. There is a lot at stake. If you can come, please RSVP. If you cannot come but want to support, please donate. I doubt I can out raise the establishment, but I can use all the help I can get to get my name and message to tens of thousands of people here in Wilco! It takes a village. Feel free to spread the word. Thank you all!

So this woman right here has been solid! We ran into each other last January and she said, “I’ll be happy to help you with your campaign.”Eventually, I reached out and asked for help and she kept her word. She has gone over and beyond to help me. Kimiko Gordon, I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done. I owe you big time Sis! And check out her earrings…she means business.
