Thank you for your expertise, Elise!

While encountering traffic can be vexing at times, it's important to acknowledge that traffic volumes in our community vary by time of day and season, and that EVERY new project is required to connect to existing road systems in a way that is both harmonious and safe for the community. We work closely with key stakeholders, listed in the graphic, to ensure this.

Stay safe Georgetown, Sadieville, Stamping Ground, and Scott County!
The most recent update from US National Weather Service Louisville Kentucky indicates that there is an increased confidence that thunderstorms will affect central Kentucky this afternoon and evening.

Georgetown and Scott County is within the Enhanced Risk area for severe weather. Storms could begin affecting our area during the mid-to-late afternoon, with the primary severe-weather threat continuing into the evening.

Please remain weather-aware throughout the day. Make sure your phone can receive emergency alerts, know where you will shelter, secure loose outdoor objects, and avoid flooded roadways.

A cold front will bring a line of strong to severe thunderstorms to the region this afternoon into the evening. Straight-line winds are the main threat, but flash flooding, tornadoes, and large hail are also possible.

Thanks, Rhett! Access to both documents can be found on our website under the planning section: https://www.gscplanning....

While this is the action we take at the city level, there is also a variety of steps you can apply in your greenspaces! You can take action by planting native plants and trees that'll help sustain biodiversity, contribute to climate mitigation strategies, and create a beautiful landscape. (Plus, it'll give you less grass to mow 😅!) Check out https://homegrownnationalpark.org/ for more resources and for a step-by-step guide on how to get started.
