1:15 PM 6/2 - Storms are beginning to develop across the area. Scattered thunderstorms will pop up near the higher terrain of southeast Wyoming, then move eastward into the plains during the late afternoon and evening. Chances for thunderstorms range from about 30 to 50% for an individual location, with lower chances along I-80 east of Cheyenne.

All severe weather hazards are possible today, including large hail, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and isolated heavy rainfall. A few tornadoes will be possible.

While a few isolated showers or storms may linger into the late evening hours, most of this activity should be concluding around 7-9PM this evening.

At 433 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Lake Alice, or 11
miles north of Scottsbluff, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Scotts Bluff and southeastern Sioux Counties.
