* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Eastern Scotts Bluff County in the panhandle of Nebraska...

* WHEN...Until 630 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 PM MDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
area due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Scottsbluff, Gering, Terrytown, Minatare, Melbeta, Scottsbluff
Airport, Lake Minatare State Recreation Area and Scotts Bluff

August 26th, 4AM - There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather for much of the area this afternoon with a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for the I-80 corridor from Cheyenne to Kimball. A few isolated, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon with very large hail (2+ inches), damaging wind gusts (60+ mph), and isolated flash flooding as the primary threats. Tornadoes are not anticipated. Best time for storms will be 3 to 9 PM this afternoon and evening. Coverage of storms will be low, but the storms that do form are expected to be strong. Have multiple ways to receive watches and warnings today! The severe weather threat continues tomorrow.
