Congratulations to Dan Lang and Jose Cardona for completing their Basic Operations Firefighter certification. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to complete this course. Both of them put in long hours throughout the 18 weeks to complete their course work then spent their weekends doing practicals in Bloomington. Thank you for all you do for the department and you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished.

This past weekend we performed ice rescue operations with our volunteers and Mabas Division 33 Dive Team. This included both day and night training to add an additional layer of complexity. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and got certified in this critical skill.

Stay safe and remember thin ice isn’t worth the risk.
