The Germantown Senior Center will be open as a cooling center for residents who are in need of shelter from the ongoing heatwave. The Center will be available today, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm. Other arrangements are currently being made for the holiday weekend. Residents of Germantown and German Township are advised to call 937-855-6567 if they are in need of shelter assistance, or 911 for dire needs or emergencies. Stay safe and stay cool this week!

Earlier, we had a post about our senior center kitty, Big Boy, who we feared was stolen. Turns out, we’re not the only ones who loves to care for him. With the weather, there was concern about him and wanted to make sure he was safe. He will be back to his senior center home this afternoon! We’re thankful and relieved for a happy ending! Thank you all for your care and support!
