I am proud to have received the 2026 Mom's Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinction. As a hunter and avid outdoorsman, I stand by the 2nd Amendment and also believe that we can save thousands of lives each year with common-sense gun laws, such as background checks on all gun sales and laws encouraging or requiring secure storage of fi****ms. Indiana's gun homicide rate is above the national average and has increased over the past decade. 58% of American adults report that they, or someone they care for, have experienced gun violence in their lifetime. 1,215 people die by guns in Indiana in an average year. We can change that!
