**** UPDATE **** Missing Person Located Deceased
Hubbard-Donald-Aurora Police Department is saddened to announce that 69-year-old Rafael Arellano-Cortez, who was reported missing on August 25, 2026, has been located deceased.
Rafael was located in a wooded area just west of Hubbard on Broadacres Rd NE on August 26, 2026, at about 1512 hours. At this time, there is no indication of foul play.
We extend our deepest condolences to Rafaelβs family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
Hubbard-Donald-Aurora Police Department would also like to sincerely thank everyone who assisted in the search, shared information, and provided support throughout the effort to locate Rafael.
We especially wish to recognize and thank our partner agency, Salem Police Department, for responding to assist with the search. Their K9 Bloodhound, Shelby, and her handler, Officer A. Morse, played an important role in locating Rafael during difficult conditions.
We are grateful to our Hubbard community, Hubbard Fire District, NEWCOM 911, and all our public safety partners for their time, resources, and assistance.
No further assistance from the public is requested at this time.
Our thoughts remain with Rafaelβs family and loved ones.

Missing Person Alert:
Rafael Arellano-Cortez, 69, is missing and has been diagnosed with medical conditions. He was last seen around 1:30 PM on August 25th.
He is suspected of leaving on foot, walking from the 3200 block of 4th St., Hubbard.
Rafael is approximately 5'5" tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. Rafael was last seen wearing a blue/greenish button-up shirt, an unknown-color sweater, gray pants, black-and-white, possibly Nike, shoes, and prescription glasses.
