As my time at the United Way in the role of Ready to Learn coordinator is coming to a close, I was happy to meet one last time with this group of extremely dedicated early childhood professionals serving in various positions supporting families and young children. Quarterly Director’s Networking lunch meetings have provided a time for like minded educators to share some laughter and build a sense of community that fosters grow for our youngest Adams County residents… ages 0 to 5!

Did you know that 37% of Adams County households faced financial instability in 2024? Thirty percent of these families are A.L.I.C.E. families, defined as Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These families are unable to save for unexpected emergencies. Programs like our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program help these low to moderate income households.
