Agriculture is thriving across Pennsylvania and here in Adams County! We think everyone should eat more Turkey 🦃 and apples🍎 to support Adams County Ag.

Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry is powering economic momentum across the Commonwealth. 🌱 As a priority sector in our 10‑Year Economic Development Strategy, agriculture contributes more than $153 billion each year and supports nearly 600,000 jobs — making it one of PA’s most impactful industries.

With major ag companies expanding operations and investing in PA communities, the Commonwealth’s competitive business environment continues to set us apart as the only Northeast state with a growing economy. Agriculture remains essential to PA’s future prosperity and food security.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with the Adams County Veteran Advocate Network for our quarterly meeting. This group of businesses, nonprofits and community volunteers do amazing work everyday to serve our community.

The Veteran Advocate Network coordinates a Military Food Share at Gettysburg Rec Park that serves 110 military families each month! 🇺🇸

Economic development is about more than projects and numbers.
It’s about people, relationships, ideas, and the conversations that move communities forward.

That’s why the 2026 PEDA Fall Conference is worth putting on your calendar.

From October 26–28 in Gettysburg, economic development professionals from across Pennsylvania will come together to share ideas, build connections and explore new ways to create impact in their communities.

One example: “Mike on the Mic: Turning Conversation into Community Impact.”

Mike Ross and David Mackley of the Franklin County Area Development Corporation will share how they’re using podcasting to connect business leaders, community voices and regional issues in an accessible and authentic way.

It’s a great example of what this conference is all about: taking ideas and finding practical, engaging ways to put them to work.

If you’re involved in economic development, community development, business attraction, workforce or regional growth, make plans to be in Gettysburg October 26–28.
