National Military Park, Gettysburg College and the Lutheran Theological Seminary are within the district. Gettysburg Area School District features three kindergartens through fifth-grade buildings, one middle school (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9-12). 😀 Smiles are Back on the Menu

The halls may be quiet for the summer, but the energy is back in our cafeteria!

Our Warriors and community members kicked off the Free Summer Meals Program yesterday, catching up with friends, sharing laughs, and enjoying a nutritious meal together.

Join us today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gettysburg Area Middle School cafeteria. The program runs Monday-Thursday through August 6. We hope to see you there, Warriors! ✨

Join us in welcoming our newest Warrior! We're thrilled to celebrate our second incoming student to receive a special welcome basket from Shoe Orthodontics!

☀Free Summer Meals Begin Today!☀

School may be out, but healthy meals are still on the menu! Beginning today, GASD's Free Summer Meal Program is offering nutritious lunches at NO COST to all children and teens ages 18 and under. Adult meals may also be purchased for $4.85.

🗓 June 17-August 6 (The program runs Monday through Thursday and is closed Fridays.)
⏰ Lunch Served: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
📍Gettysburg Area Middle School Cafeteria

Plus, families can pick up a grab-and-go breakfast bag during lunch service for the following day. Whether you're spending the summer at the pool, park, camp, or at home, we're here to help ensure children in our community have access to healthy, nutritious meals all summer long. We look forward to seeing you, Warriors!

✨Battlefield FFA honors two GAHS staff members✨

Congratulations to GAHS counselor Mr. Smith and Officer Carbaugh for being recognized as the GAHS Battlefield FFA Chapter's staff honorary degree recipients!

Mr. Smith generously volunteered his time to support chapter activities, including officer interviews and public speaking competitions, helping our Warriors grow as leaders and communicators.

Officer Carbaugh has been a valued partner to the chapter, supporting initiatives such as Drive Your Tractor to School Day and FFA Week activities while helping create safe and meaningful experiences for our Warriors.

A big thank you to both staff honorees for their outstanding service and support of agriculture, agricultural education, and the GAHS Battlefield FFA. Your commitment reflects the values of service, leadership, and community that are the heart of the FFA. 🫶

The Gettysburg Area High School World Language Department has earned the 2026-2028 Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association (PSMLA) Exemplary Program (PEP) Silver Globe Award, a prestigious statewide recognition honoring excellence in world language education.

From advanced coursework and the PA Seal of Biliteracy to international travel opportunities and immersive cultural experiences, our Warriors benefit from a program that prepares them to communicate, connect, and succeed in a global society. This award reflects the dedication of our educators, the commitment of our students, and the strength of a program that continues opening doors beyond the classroom!
