When people picture abuse, they often imagine something visible. Neglect can be more challenging to visualize, but just as damaging to a child.

Understanding what neglect looks like is an important step we can take as a community to protect children in Adams County. It isn't always obvious, but awareness makes a difference.

Learn more about the signs of neglect and the role you play in preventing child abuse: https://kidsagaincac.org/about-child-abuse/

Child abuse prevention starts with informed, engaged adults. When communities learn the signs and speak openly with children, we can help protect kids from harm.

Experts believe that when just 5% of adults in a community learn about child abuse prevention, it can create a tipping point for change.

Sometimes caregivers experience roadblocks to accepting and supporting their LGBTQ+ child.

Pride Month is a reminder that our kids are always paying attention and that the relationship is worth showing up for.

Every year, ACCAC receives more than 500 referrals for children experiencing abuse and neglect in Adams County, but our current facility can only serve one child and family at a time.

That's why we're building the Brighter Tomorrows Center. This renovated, 5,630-square-foot space will triple our capacity, allowing us to serve multiple children and families simultaneously, all under one roof.

Together, we've raised $1.68 million, but we still need the community's help to make this vision a reality. Every gift brings us closer to opening our doors in 2028. Donate today: https://kidsagaincac.org/brightertomorrows/
