To celebrate CPR and AED awareness week, we are sharing a CPR themed Fun Fact Friday!

DID YOU KNOW???....
The father of CPR published a paper that introduced the compression + breaths CPR that we know today. He famously said, "Anyone can initiate cardiac resuscitation procedures anywhere, all that is needed is two hands."

Knowing CPR could help save a life, and all you need is 2 hands! If you are CPR certified, thank you! If you are not, consider taking a class, it is a beneficial skill that anyone can learn!

It's heating up!! Take care of yourself and others and know the signs and symptoms of heat related illnesses. It is very easy to get dehydrated so be sure you are drinking proper fluids, staying cool, all while still enjoying the summer!

We are excited to announce the GFW Track and Field athletes who are headed to STATE! Please join us in celebrating Annie Wersal (Discus) and Silvana Ruiz (800m).

There will be a sendoff at the GFW High School Thursday June 4th 12:15 PM. The local fire department will be es**rting the track fleet out of Gibbon, and the Winthrop ambulance and fire department will then es**rt them through Winthrop at 12:30pm on Highway 19.

Please come out and show your support for these athletes! We would love to see everyone at the high school and lined up along Highway 19 in Winthrop. Signs are highly encouraged.
