Sunday was a beautiful day for a bike ride. Deputy Chief Glenn Werner and our Fire Official Craig Fallstick took advantage of the day, and a long with many first responders from the area, rode in the Ben to Shore bike tour. This ride benefits families of injured and fallen first responders in the line of duty. The tour is 65 miles from Philadelphia to Atlantic City. Great job Deputy Chief Werner and all those that rode.

The Annual Ben to Shore Bike Tour which benefits the Families Behind the Badge Children Foundation is set to take place tomorrow Sunday July 26th. The tour begins in Philadelphia at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge and ends in Atlantic City. This 65 mile ride will follow Rt 561 through Voorhees, Gibbsboro, and Berlin during the morning hours. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution and share the road as the participants pedal their way for a this worthy cause that provides relief to families of first responders injured in the line of duty.

For his 3rd year, Deputy Chief Glenn Werner will be participating in the ride. We wish him well and safe travels on his ride.

From Gibbsboro Office of Emergency Management:

We are once again under a Code Red for Poor Air Quality due to the wildfires. It is recommended to stay indoors in air conditioning as much as possible, especially those that have respiratory issues

For those with medical issues, the Gibbsboro Office of Emergency Management have N-95 and similar masks to distribute. Stop by the Borough Hall today during regular business hours, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to pick up a mask. There is a limited supply at this time so only Gibbsboro residents are eligible.
