The Gibbsboro Police Department responded to the area of the Gibbsboro Elementary School for a report of a confused elderly person out front of the school. As a precaution the school was placed in a shelter in place. At no time was there a threat to the children or staff.

Potential Applicants:

The Camden County Association of Chiefs of Police has partnered with Policeapp to provide regionalized testing for possible available police positions in Camden County over the next 12 months. All participating agencies will have access to the results of the test to improve their application pool for Class I, Class II, Class III, and full-time positions. Due to recent legislation, there is a waiver of exam for Civil Service Departments that opted-in, however, it DOES NOT take the place of a civil service test for civil service jurisdictions, as it pertains to entry level law enforcement positions, if the jurisdiction did not opt-in to the recent legislation. Please use the link below to sign up for the test or if you know anyone who is interested, please share the link with them to sign up for the test.

The test date will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Eastern High School in the morning hours. Again, please use the below listed link to register for the test.

NOTE: This exam is NOT for alternate route testing.

The Gibbsboro Police Department would like to remind everyone October 30th and October 31st curfew will be at 8 pm. Any juvenile 17 years of age or younger out past the posted time can be issued a curfew citation. Thank you and have a safe and happy Halloween! 🎃

Crossing Guard

The Gibbsboro Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Crossing Guards.

Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

1. Be a citizen of the United States and the State of New Jersey
2. Be able to read and write the English language.
3. Not have been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United States.
4. Provide proof of a High School diploma or approved High School equivalency certificate.
5. Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
6. Submit to a complete background investigation.


Interested applicants may obtain an application Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Gibbsboro Police Department located at 5 Foster Ave, Gibbsboro, NJ 08026. Once the application is completed, please drop off your application to the Gibbsboro Police Department.
