The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a
Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Camden County in southern New Jersey... Northwestern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey... Northwestern Salem County in southern New Jersey...
Until 315 AM EDT.
At 1103 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Wilmington, Deptford, West Deptford, Pennsville, Bellmawr, Woodbury, Carneys Point, Paulsboro, Penns Grove, Salem, Magnolia and Westville.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 26...and between mile markers 31 and 32. New Jersey Turnpike between exits 1 and 3.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
