Last week, the Lakeshore Leadership Club teamed up with Ms. Laginess to celebrate Mental Health Awareness month. They did chair yoga, mindfulness meditation, coloring, a fun Q & A, and got bracelets and fidgets to take home.

They’re currently competing at the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, and they are absolutely crushing it! As of noon today:

Our students recently came together in a wonderful show of encourage-mint and teamwork to prepare for upcoming state testing. Working collaboratively, they created positive notes filled with uplifting messages, motivational quotes, and words of support for their peers. These notes were attached to mint candies and will be shared throughout the school to help build confidence, reduce stress, and remind everyone that they are capable of success. It was inspiring to see students taking the initiative to spread kindness and positivity, reinforcing the strong sense of community that makes our school such a special place.

In celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day, students and staff at LVS came together to spread positivity beyond our campus walls by painting “kindness rocks” to share throughout our community. Each rock was thoughtfully decorated with uplifting messages, colorful designs, and words of encouragement intended to brighten someone’s day. After completing their creations, students will place the rocks in local parks, neighborhoods, and community spaces as small reminders that kindness matters and that even the simplest gestures can make a meaningful difference. We are proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to lead with compassion and for helping to strengthen the sense of connection that makes our school and district such a special place.

Our Leadership Club had their annual holiday party yesterday! They made holiday cheer gift bags to pass out to our support staff around the building, then had fun playing a musical-chairs style game with candy canes and enjoyed a hot cocoa bar & cookies they brought in to share! ☃️☕🍪
