🔥 Mutual Aid in Action 🔥

Your Gibraltar firefighters responded to assist the Woodhaven Fire Department with a structure fire early this morning, around 4:00 a.m. Gibraltar’s ladder is the one extended on the left side of the photo.

We are proud to be able to assist our surrounding communities when called upon. Mutual aid is an important part of the fire service—when a significant incident occurs, neighboring departments work together to provide the personnel, equipment, and resources needed to safely and effectively handle the emergency.

Whether the call is here at home or in a neighboring community, we’re always proud to answer when help is needed.

Thank you to all of the firefighters and first responders who worked through the early morning hours.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Police, mutual/auto aid partners and Dispatchers for all of your hard work and support on this fire. While working this fire, we recieved 2 medical calls during the incident. We thank those departments as well for watching over our citizens.

House fires are challenging incidents under any circumstances, and operating with 4/5 personnel on shift, can significantly increase the demands and risks placed on those working on the fireground. Having additional manpower available allows crews to work more safely, effectively, and efficiently while providing the support needed to accomplish the job.

We can report, homeowners and all public safety personnel are safe. Keep the homeowners in your thoughts as they navigate through this challenging time
