Beginning today, Wayne County is resurfacing W. Jefferson. Please be aware that traffic backups and possible route detours may occur as crews work to resurface all lanes.

The project is expected to continue for several days, including the weekend, weather permitting.

We sincerely apologize for the late notice. Unfortunately, a communication issue delayed the distribution of this update. We recognize that timely information helps residents plan ahead, and we regret any inconvenience.
