LAST CHANCE TO NOMINATE AN AMAZING PERSON, BUSINESS, OR GROUP TO BE RECOGNIZED AT THIS YEAR'S 4TH OF JULY 🇺🇸

Nominations are due by Sunday, June 14th!

The City of Gibraltar is accepting nominations for our 2026 Gibraltar Community Awards, which will be presented during our annual 4th of July Celebration opening ceremony following the parade! 🇺🇸

Do you know someone who makes a difference in our community? Now’s your chance to recognize the amazing people, organizations, and businesses that help make Gibraltar special. ❤️💙

- Local Organization of the Year

- Young Leader Award (Elementary & Middle School)

As a proud member of the Alliance of Downriver Watersheds, we want to remind you that protecting our local waterways starts with simple everyday choices. Clean Cars on the Green

Whenever possible, choose a commercial car wash. These facilities are required to properly treat wastewater, helping keep soap, dirt, and pollutants out of our storm drains and nearby rivers and streams.

Washing at home? Park on the grass so your lawn can help prevent dirty, soapy water from reaching storm drains and our local waterways.

Join City Administrator Witherspoon THIS SATURDAY at 10:00 a.m. at the Gibraltar Municipal Complex Park (in front of City Hall) for an open community gathering.

This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and discuss any concerns regarding the upcoming summer season. We encourage all residents to attend and take part in the conversation.

Please note that picnic table seating is limited, so feel free to bring a lawn chair for your comfort.

Registration is now open for the 2026 Downriver Senior Olympics! 🏅

If you're 55+ and live in a Downriver community, you're invited to join us August 10-14 in Lincoln Park for a week of activity, friendly competition, and fun.

Choose from a variety of events including pickleball, bowling, golf, bocce, shuffleboard, billiards, tennis, basketball, brain games, a fun walk, a 5K bike race, and more. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or trying something new, there's a place for everyone.
