Due to the closure of our building, we are unable to accept book donations at this time. We keep finding boxes of books left at the library building, and we're so grateful that our community considers us when planning their book donations. The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Lee County in south central Texas Until 7:30 PM CDT.

* At 6:48 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lexington, moving southwest at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Elgin, Lexington, Fedor, Circle D-KC Estates, Camp Swift, Knobb Springs, Blue, Leo, McDade, Butler, and Cedar Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
