“Starting around June 1, families can use two tools to find nearby sites serving no-cost meals for children 18 and younger ─ VISIT SummerFood.org or CALL 2-1-1. In addition to locating a site, it’s important to frequently use these tools to confirm dates and times and gather more information about meal services.”

Meals are served at no cost and children do not need to register or provide an ID.

Giddings ISD Parents: You will soon be able to see your child's STAAR scores in the GISD Parent Portal. When you open the Parent Portal, click on the GREEN button labeled "Texas Assessment," and you will be able to see the current scores and past scores, if applicable. If you are unable to access the Parent Portal, you will need to contact your child's school to obtain the access code.

STAAR EOC Results for Grades 9-12 will be available June 10th, and STAAR Results for Grades 3-8 will be available June 16th.

Giddings ISD celebrated another successful school year at the end of the year at a luncheon on Friday, May 22nd. The theme of the luncheon was "One Town, One School, One Family."

The District awarded service pins to employees who have served in the District for five to thirty-five years, recognized retiring employees, and presented awards to the employee and teacher of the year.

Giddings ISD wants to inform you that after dismissal today (March 18, 2026) at Giddings Middle School, a student was reported to have made a threat. Administration immediately responded and worked with the Giddings Police Department, which has determined there is no active threat at this time. Student safety remains our top priority. Please remind your child to report any concerns to school staff immediately.
