The Gila Valley Library would love for our community to be a part of this 100% remote, paid Art & Tech internship. Dates are Friday Sept. 11 4:30-6:30, Fri Sept. 25 4:30-6:30, Friday Oct. 9 4:30-6:30. Final Celebration is in Santa Fe, with paid travel for the event or remote.

August 17th we will be checking off a few challenges on our preschool reading challenge sheet! Come prepared to sing fun Dino songs and play in the sand!

If your kiddo has checked off more boxes on their Summer Reading Challenge bingo card, this is the last week to pick up their pins. If they have all boxes filled out they can collect their prize! We are open today, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-4, and Saturday 10-2.

That’s a wrap on our Summer Literacy Tutoring aka Reading Camp. We had 10 very dedicated kiddos who spent up to 64 hours with us reading a lot, actively learning phonics and literacy skills, and playing literacy games. These kids are rock stars. They also went to the Senior Center and took some time reading to Seniors. We love our Reading kids! Also, special thanks to Janean Garney and Marykate Fowler for your hard work teaching our kids. Thanks to our supportive parents, too.

Great last day of STEAM Camp. The kids put on their engineering hats today and used the design process to build and test a launching device that would launch a water balloon the farthest. Winning team was a simple catapult built by Jeebz, John & Bowen. All the designs were imaginative and great.
