Gilbert-Franklin Twp. Fire Agency is a volunteer fire suppression & prevention, EMS, and rescue agency. The agency formed in 2011. Currently, the department has 28 members of which 14 members are Emergency Medical Technicians and 1 is an Emergency Medical Responder.

Don't let the griddle cool down without getting your fix! We have **45 minutes left** of our community pancake breakfast here at the station, and there is still plenty of syrup to go around.
Whether you're finishing up your morning walk or just waking up, swing by the bay for a hot meal and some great company. It’s the perfect way to fuel your morning!

Fire up your appetite! We are officially ready for tomorrow morning and hope to see you all at the station.
A massive shout-out to our local **North Fareway** for being a true "one-stop shop" and helping us secure everything we need to feed the community—from the pancake mix and syrup down to the cooking spray. We couldn't do it without this kind of incredible local support!

* **🍽️ On the Menu:** All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, and plenty of coffee!
# # # **🅿️ Parking Information:**
To keep things moving smoothly, parking is available on the **east side of the station**. If that fills up, we have **overflow parking available at the North High School parking lot**.
All proceeds go toward supporting the **Gilbert Fire Fighters Association (GIFA)** and our community initiatives. Come grab a plate, meet your local firefighters, and help us kick off the weekend right.

🥞 Fill Your Plate, Support Your Station! 🥞
Mark your calendars! The Gilbert Franklin Twp Fire Department is hosting our Annual Pancake Breakfast, and you're invited.

We’ll be serving up pancakes and sausage to get your Saturday started right. This event is a community favorite, and it’s a great chance to catch up with neighbors and support the crew.

We operate on a free-will donation basis. Every contribution goes directly toward the equipment and training that keeps our department ready to respond when it matters most.

New Tools, Faster Rescues! 🚒✂️

The Gilbert-Franklin Township Fire Department is excited to announce a major upgrade to our life-saving equipment! Thanks to a collaborative effort between the Gilbert Iowa Firefighters Association (GIFA), the Fire Department, and a generous 2025 Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant, we have officially put our new battery-operated extrication tools into service.

These advanced tools replace our previous set, which served the community for over 20 years. By moving to battery power, our team can work more efficiently and get to those in need faster than ever before—directly impacting the safety of the residents we serve.

Key Highlights:

Modern Technology: No more hoses or heavy power units; these tools are ready the second they hit the scene.

Community Impact: Arrived and installed as of late last year, these are already protecting our community.

Partnership in Action: This project was made possible by the hard work of the GIFA in securing grant funding to support our department’s mission and Prairie Meadows.

Pictured below are GIFA President Berkley Dinsdale and Chief Brian Grove accepting the grant that helped make this vital upgrade a reality, along with a look at the new tools ready for duty on Engine 105.

Merry Christmas from the Gilbert-Franklin Fire Department! 🚒🎄

We want to send a huge "Thank You" to everyone who joined us for our Santa at the Station event! It was incredible to share some holiday cheer with the neighbors we are so proud to serve.

This event wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of our volunteer firefighters and their families, who worked hard behind the scenes to make the magic happen.

🚒 Attention Families! Santa is Coming to the Fire Station! 🚨
​Santa's helpers (our wonderful firefighters!) have been busy preparing the station for his arrival! The lights are hung, the gear is polished, and the hot cocoa is ready!
​However, we are experiencing a significant snowstorm today, so we urge everyone planning to visit to please use an abundance of caution on the roads and sidewalks. Your safety is our top priority!
​The great news? Santa will absolutely still be at the Fire Station! He's ready to see all the good boys and girls, snow or shine.
​Drive slow and allow extra time.
​Be careful walking in the parking lot.
​Bundle up warm!
​We can't wait to celebrate the season with our community!

🍝🚒 Stocking Up for Santa at the Station! 🎅
We are getting everything ready for our big night, and we have a massive "Thank You" to send out today!

A huge shoutout to Barilla for their incredibly generous donation of pasta sauce and noodles for our upcoming Firefighters' Spaghetti Dinner. We loaded up the truck at the docks, and as you can see, the bed is full and ready to feed the community!

Come enjoy a great meal and meet Santa!
