Minnesota State Parks Library Program!
“We’ve teamed up with the Department of Natural Resources to bring you the Minnesota State Parks Library Program! Through this partnership with the DNR, library patrons can check out a state or park pass to use for free vehicle entry into any Minnesota state park recreation area. The state park pass ONLY applies to the vehicle entrance fee. Passes must be clearly displayed on the vehicle’s dashboard
so staff can check the validity and expiration date. The Pass is good for seven (7) days and cannot be renewed. Only one (1) checkout per family within thirty (30) days. When the pass has expired you may throw it away, it will automatically be checked back in. You can check out a state park pass as easily as you check out a book with your library card which you must present.
There will be no holds or reservations--first come/first served. Call the Gilbert Library will any questions as 218-748-2230 . Check out: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/index.html to find the perfect park for your visit
