A big thank you to Kathy Hartman for a wonderful Tuesday Storytime at the library. With Earth Day coming up on April 23, we enjoyed an Earth Day–themed activity and planted pansies outside the library. A great way to celebrate and brighten our space.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Barbara Lilley and Jody Hughes as they step down from the Gilbertsville Free Library Board of Trustees

Barbara has dedicated an incredible 19 years of service, giving her time, leadership, and commitment to supporting our library and community. Her impact has been truly meaningful and long-lasting.

Jody has served on the board since 2018, contributing his time, insight, and support over the past 8 years. We are so grateful for all he has given to the library.

At the same time, we are pleased to welcome new board trustees Amanda Cheung and Ashley Strickland, and to share that Liz Bankus will be stepping into the role of Secretary.

Today's fun at Gilbertsville Free Library story hour 10:30 to 11:30. France was the theme. Everyone made a mask for the ball. Next week we will have another French adventure with Miss Kathy, Mr. George and Miss Dana who is visiting from France.

Spring Bulb Shipping Schedule:
Orders begin shipping April 1, starting with the warmest states first. Orders will be shipped as quickly as possible as weather and conditions allow.

Spring Program Order Deadlines: Order Now thru May 15. The library gets up to 50% of the sales.

Flower Power Fundraising helps support groups, causes and communities using an earth-friendly alternative to traditional fundraising through the sale of flowers, bulbs and perennials that can be enjoyed for years to come!

There’s still time to support Gilbertsville Free Library through the Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program.

Through the end of February 2026, we receive $1 for each specially marked bouquet sold at Hannaford in Oneonta.
