This notification is for the fire departments of Otsego, Chenango, and parts of Delaware County. After extensive deliberation spanning over a year, the Gilbertsville Fire Department is pleased to announce the establishment of a Firefighter Assistance and Support Team (FAST). This team is designed to provide support to area departments in need, comprising 7 highly trained personnel. Effective July 1st of this year, our FAST team is ready to respond and offer assistance as required. The team has undergone comprehensive training in their field of expertise. The Gilbertsville Fire Department would like to thank the Morris Fire Department for allowing our members to join in on their recent O.S.H.A. training.

It’s always great to work with neighboring departments that value cooperation, shared learning, and supporting one another. Training together helps all of us become better prepared to serve our communities.

We appreciate our neighbors to the north for welcoming us and reminding us how strong the fire service is when departments have each other’s backs.
