TXDOT will be closing ferry system at 11:30 PM TONIGHT! Last ferry from Port Bolivar is at 11:30 due to Hurricane Laura. Please hurry and evacuate the peninsula now while you still have time!

The day has come that we never hoped would. The Galveston County Sherriff's Department is at the Pass putting up fencing around all sides of the Pass. Please know that we are still in litigation with Galveston County over the unjust and unfair procedures. This page is not going away, as we have not given up the fight!

UPDATE (9/9/2019, 11:20 AM): We have confirmed there is a contract to Brizo Construction. They have specifically been instructed by the Texas General Land Office not to comment. We have requested information from the Texas GLO about contract details including dates. As always, we will keep you updated as we learn more.

From Galveston County, Texas this morning...."Highway 87 is passable for now, but anticipate closure today for TXDOT crews to manage excessive debris. Stay safe!" Some of the bait camps are closed today, please use caution and good judgement if you're traveling to the Peninsula!
