We are pleased to observe CCAP Celebration Week by recognizing Executive Director Stephanie Stahlhut and Chief Finance Officer Lynn Petrelli, two team members who have earned their CCAP certification.

Earning a CCAP certification is a significant accomplishment that represents a strong commitment to excellence, leadership, and continued growth in the fight against poverty. The Certified Community Action Professional credential represents more than a title. We are grateful to have their expertise, heart, and perseverance as part of our team.

It reflects a commitment to the history, values, and mission of Community Action and to the ongoing work of supporting people and strengthening communities.

During Certified Community Action Professional Celebration Week, we’re proud to celebrate the professionals across the Community Action network who continue learning, leading, and carrying this work forward.

Please join us in celebrating their achievements and thanking them for the difference they make every day.

If your Medicare plan has denied coverage or authorization for a health service, item, or prescription, you have the right to ask for a review, which is called an appeal. Understanding the appeals process can help you get the care you need.

The appeals process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is here to guide you every step of the way, helping you understand your options and advocate for your needs. Here’s what you should know about Medicare appeals and how to get started.
