A big thank you goes out to Katie Daul for coming into Mrs. Britton's Second Grade to teach a lesson on Financial Literacy during math class! She read the book Ox-Cart Man and provided each student with their own copy of the book. She talked about goods and services, needs and wants, using talents and resources to produce items, savings and spending and trading. She also did a very special craft with the students related to the topic. This lesson fit very well with both the math and literacy curriculum and the students loved it!

Today starts the last week of school! This will be a busy week for students closing out the year. Please be safe.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

June 1 to June 5: Storm sewer work will continue between East Railroad Street and West Park Street. Once underground pipe work is complete near West Park Street, the pipe crew will move to the north and begin storm sewer work in the Washington Street intersection. Grading operations will continue. The contractor will excavate out the existing roadbed and place new road base beginning near East Main Street and working south/west toward Elm Avenue.

Traffic impacts: WIS 22 will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project. Access to driveways for property owners who live along WIS 22 will be maintained. During storm sewer and grading work, local traffic may not be able to pass through the area the contractor is working in.

Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured. The project detour route continues to use County H and County R.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to the Justin J. Watt Foundation for selecting our Junior High Football Program for a grant that helped make new jerseys for our FB team. Your support means a lot to our players, coaches, and community, and it will have a huge impact on our program.

We would also like to thank BSN Sports for their assistance in designing and producing our new jerseys. They made the process easy and delivered a great final product.

We are very grateful for the support and can’t wait to represent our community in these new uniforms next season!

Congratulations Braydn!
