Construction by WYDOT District 4 - Northeast Wyoming continues on Highway 59/S. Douglas Highway through the city.

As of Monday, March 30, a portion of southbound Highway 59 is limited to one lane between Camel Drive and Boxelder Road, causing delays during high-traffic daytime hours.

On Tuesday, March 24th, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office had the distinct honor of hosting the A250 Flag Sojourn Ceremony—an inspiring tribute to our nation’s history, unity, and future.

Supported by the National Flag Foundation, America 250, and the National Sheriffs’ Association, this special flag began its journey on June 14, 2025, under the care of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Today, its journey continues under the guidance of the National Sheriffs’ Association, traveling across the country as a powerful symbol of patriotism and shared purpose.

We are proud that the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was selected to represent Wyoming in this meaningful national effort. 🇺🇸

This flag represents far more than fabric—it stands for the sacrifices made by those who came before us, the freedoms we cherish, and the unity that binds us as Americans. It is a symbol of resilience, hope, and the enduring spirit of our nation.

The journey will culminate in Washington, D.C., where on July 4, 2026, the flag will be presented to the America 250 Semiquincentennial Committee and raised in our nation’s capital, marking 250 years of American independence.

We are honored to play a small part in this historic journey and to carry forward the meaning behind the Stars and Stripes. ⭐

We were greeted with an unexpected and heartfelt surprise today—beautiful flowers left for our staff by an anonymous donor. 🌹💚

Along with the flowers was a note that truly meant a lot to our team:
