As many of our community members are aware, local high school seniors may be participating in the annual “Senior Assassin” game. This is a game where students try to sq**rt their classmates with water guns. While we understand this is intended to be a fun tradition, the Gilmanton Police Department would like to remind everyone to use good judgment and keep safety the top priority.

Please remember:

• Do not trespass onto private property.
• Do not run into roadways or approach moving vehicles.
• Avoid wearing masks or clothing that could cause alarm to the public.
• Never carry anything that could be mistaken for a real firearm. Water guns and toy blasters should remain brightly colored and clearly identifiable. Never point at adults or Police Officers.
• Do not approach homes late at night or engage in behavior that may appear suspicious to residents or responding officers.
• Drivers should remain focused on the road and never participate while operating a motor vehicle.
• Parents are encouraged to speak with their students about making safe and responsible decisions.

We ask all participants to remember that what may seem harmless to friends can appear very different to neighbors, motorists, or law enforcement responding to a call. Our goal is for everyone to have a safe and enjoyable end to the school year without injuries, misunderstandings, or unnecessary police response.

Please play responsibly and use common sense.

For many years, officers with the Gilmanton Police Department have carried AEDs in our cruisers—made possible through the continued support and donations to the Gilmanton Police Association.

We are grateful to share that an additional AED for our newest cruiser was generously donated by the Gilmanton Firefighters Association.

These partnerships make a real difference in our ability to serve and protect our community. Thank you to everyone involved for your ongoing support!

Gilmanton PD is happy to announce that we have a limited # of FREE bike helmets for kids that need one. The Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire ( https://bianh.org/ ) was kind enough to offer helmets to local communities, and we were lucky enough to get some again this year. We have a few of each size-Small, Medium and Large.
Come on into the PD lobby between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday- Friday and pick out a new helmet, courtesy of The Brain Injury Association and GPD!

Officer Greer found these kids out riding bikes, and wearing helmets. This earned them FREE Happy Cow Ice Cream tickets.

Happy Cow is open for the season, and GPD is on the hunt for kids outside and away from electronics.
