Bettie VFD had a great night of training with Simpsonville VFD!

We spent the evening working on pump operations, practicing various hose lays, working with different nozzles, flowing a little foam, and getting familiar with each other’s apparatus and equipment.

A big thank you to everyone who showed up and put in the work, even though it felt like it was about a million degrees outside! 🥵🥵🥵

And as always a very special thank you to Simpsonville VFD for hosting and training alongside us. We always appreciate the opportunity to work together and learn from one another!🚒👨‍🚒🧯

Looks like the weather will be better today but there were a bunch of MVA’s across the county yesterday!! Let’s be sure to be extra careful when the weather is acting up like that, it could save a life!!

No one was in the vehicle when we arrived on scene!! But we still want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that safe driving behavior does save lives!!!

Bettie VFD would like to thank Ewell VFD and Simpsonville VFD for their assistance on a vehicle fire on US Highway 271 near Dahlia Road.

Through great teamwork and a coordinated response, the incident was brought under control quickly and safely. Most importantly, there were no injuries reported.

We appreciate the support of our neighboring departments and the partnerships that help us serve our community every day. 🚒
