We have these two dogs at the Gilmer Police Department. If you know where they belong please contact us at 903-843-5545. If owner is not located they will be taken to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter.

Please be advised that the Gilmer Police Department does not own, operate, maintain, or utilize Flock Safety cameras or Flock license plate reader cameras.

The Gilmer Police Department does not have access to or control over any Flock cameras that may be privately owned or operated within the City of Gilmer. Private businesses may choose to purchase and utilize Flock cameras for their own security purposes.

Any such cameras are privately operated and are not cameras owned or operated by the Gilmer Police Department.

Accordingly, the Gilmer Police Department does not maintain records, footage, photographs, or data generated by privately operated Flock cameras unless such information has been separately provided to the Department as part of a specific investigation.

If you’ve noticed someone going door-to-door around Gilmer during the daytime, we wanted to let everyone know who he is.

Gustav “Bookman” Ilves is a university student from Estonia who is currently in the area as part of a summer exchange program. During his time here, he will be going door-to-door offering educational books and learning materials for families.

Gustav has obtained the required vendor’s permit through the City of Gilmer and is authorized to conduct door-to-door sales within the city.

We wanted to make residents aware so you know who you may see visiting neighborhoods around town. As always, residents are under no obligation to make a purchase or speak with a salesperson at their residence.
