Friends of Upshur County Library

Friends of Upshur County Library Supporting, sharing, sustaining the Upshur County Library We carry out fund-raisers on behalf of the library (book sales, booth at the Yamboree, yearly Gala).

A group of dedicated Upshur County citizens, believing that the public library is often the very core that defines a community, came together to organize the Friends of Upshur County Library. Since its inception in 1966 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, the group has worked diligently on behalf of the library and its patrons. We support the library financially & provide a means for donations a

nd grants through our non-profit 501(c)3 status. We sponsor cultural events, such as performers, movie days, musical presentations, craft fairs and book sales. We provide funds for book shelves, outdoor landscaping, electronic data base funds, and much of the cost associates with the Summer Reading Program.
