Governor Laura Kelly signed Executive Order No. 20-12 on March 23, 2020, extending deadlines for driver licenses and vehicle registration renewals and regulations during COVID-19 pandemic. All driver's license renewals or vehicle registrations extended by this Executive Order must be completed within 60 days of the expiration of the Executive Order #20-12. Many Kansans may be unable to renew their driver's license or vehicle registration during this time, but delivery drivers and other critical employees must be able to continue critical operations and drive without fear of licensing or registrations issues.

KDOR will extend vehicle registration renewal deadlines for all vehicle types, extend any temporary, state sixty-day permits for vehicles purchased on or after January 1, 2020, and extend the terms of driver's license and identification cards for State driver's license that expired beginning March 12, 2020.

Please contact our office if you have any questions.
