Crawford County Firefighters Association

Crawford County Firefighters Association The Crawford County Firefighters Association was formed in 1993 in an effort to bring together the many Fire Departments within Crawford County (KANSAS).

The Crawford County Firefighters Association was formed in 1993 in an effort to bring together the many Fire Departments within Crawford County. The founders believed this association would provide a platform to develop deeper relationships between the member departments and promote common goals. Through hard work and strong community values our organization has seen many changes within our member

departments and hope that in some small part our association has inspired them directly or indirectly. Formation of Additional County Fire Districts
County Wide Mutual Aid Agreements
County Wide Fire Communications Radio Freq. Automatic Aid Agreements
Open Burning Guidelines
Active Roll in All Aspects of Emergency Response
Active Roll in Fire Prevention and Education

It is our hope that as we continue our work our efforts will continually improve the service that our member departments provide the citizens of the county they serve and continue to serve an important roll in fire safety in Crawford County.

UPDATE - Our little Task Force is headed home today. Trucks are filthy and beat up a little and need some TLC. We were successful in the tasks we were given and everyone is coming home with no injuries. Special thanks to Quinton Parsons (Crawford County Emergency Manager) and Scotte Thomas (Crawford County District No.4 Chief) for traveling with the crew and helping to coordinate as task force commanders. After getting some rest overnight in Dodge City they have a bit of a drive but I’m sure home will be good. We appreciate everything they did and appreciate their sacrifice of time and dedication to protecting others. Please keep all the first responders in your thoughts and prayers as there are still ongoing challenges in the area. Additional relief crews are rolling in this morning. Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas are all battling similar situations as these fires continue to plague the area. The wind and poor conditions caused the suspension of air operations yesterday. Hopefully air operations can or did resume this morning. A little moisture would be welcome.
