City of Girard Fire Department

City of Girard Fire Department Welcome to the official page of the City of Girard Fire Department. The Girard Fire Department is headed by Fire Chief James Petruzzi.

Also known as Station 24 in Trumbull County, we are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a crew of four Firefighter-Paramedics per turn. The Girard Fire Department is equipped with two fire engines, a rescue truck, a 100' ladder truck, an SUV for medical emergencies, and one pickup truck. The Fire Department has 12 members belonging to the International Assosciation of Fire Fighters. The members comprise the Local 1220.

The Justin Leo Bridge (Girard Viaduct) will be closed tonight, July 16,2026, from 8:00pm to roughly midnight, for the annual Mount Carmel IFH firework display.

We ask that everyone please avoid the area during this time, and plan their routes of travel accordingly.
