The car show is shaping up to be an exceptional event, exceeding the success of the last. Mulecreek Grille llc will be serving delicious food, while Jeb's Italian Ice returns with their popular flavored ice. Live music will be performed by Martin Rice throughout the day. The event will feature pull game tickets, a $200 prize board with gift cards and scratch-offs, and a highly anticipated Chinese Auction. Don't miss out; mark your calendars now!

They have a trailer FULL, a box truck FULL & a cargo van FULL!

Girard Township and Platea Borough implemented the fire tax in 2024, with that, we were able to secure financing to purchase this truck. Both the fire tax and fundraising are crucial parts in our budget.

Chief Stan Freeland and Assistant Chief Steve Michael brought Platea Volunteer Fire Company's new tanker to our meeting yesterday. This purchase was made possible in part by the fire tax implemented by the Township in 2024. This tax is split equally among the three departments that serve us.
