We will be having Wildland Fire training this evening,6-8-26, beginning at 6:30pm, with SFRT13 instructor. All departments are welcome to attend.

6-5-26 at approximately 7:57pm the Richland Fire Department was called to a non-injury, single vehicle accident on Ky 1304 near Payne’s Creek Road. Firefighters performed traffic control so the wrecker service could safely remove the vehicle. Two trucks and several firefighters responded.

PSA!!! Hwy 1304 on the Bimble side is down to one lane each day. State highway dept are in the process of cutting trees close to the roadway. Delays of up to 15 minutes or more possible. Might wanna consider an alternate route. As of today they are between Phillips branch and valentine branch.

5-24-26 at approximately 4:26pm the Richland Fire Department was called to a structure fire. Upon arrival it was determined that a child playing with a phone had called in to dispatch requesting the fire department. While we are happy that no one had a fire we do ask that you talk with your children about the dangers of this. Several vehicles moved out the road to let us pass and it pulls valuable resources away from what could be a real emergency.

5-24-26 at approximately 4:07pm the Richland Fire Department was called to a missing person on Frisby Branch Road. Firefighters located the missing gentleman shortly after arriving. Two trucks and several firefighters responded. Knox EMS and Emergency Management also responded. The patient refused transport by EMS.

5-23-26 at approximately 10:33am the Richland Fire Department was called to power lines on fire on Ky 1304 across from Riley’s Wrecker Service. Upon arrival it was determined not to be power lines but communication lines. Firefighters extinguished the fire. One truck and several firefighters responded.
