Gladstone Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) is currently recruiting volunteers to join our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in either an active or reserve capacity.
GEMA members are trained to assist emergency responders in tasks such as search and rescue, basic first aid, and disaster response. As a GEMA member, you will receive training on how to respond to disasters and emergencies. You will also play a critical role in supporting your community during times of need. When not assisting in disasters, GEMA members assist the city by managing parking and events and assisting in first aid.
Volunteering as a GEMA member is a fantastic way to give back to your community, gain new skills, earn volunteer hours for college, and even make a positive impact in the lives of those around you. You'll also have the opportunity to meet and work with like-minded individuals who share your passion for helping others.
