An active development program and comprehensive plan is in place and Gladstone is growing. Already an active community with many amenities the City is adding more with another amphitheater, space that will serve as a grass game court in the warm weather and an synthetic ice skating rink in cold weather. The City believes in building upon partnerships and the greatest partnership is with the citizens of Gladstone. When you see the tag line that says Engaging, Listening, Responding that is is exactly what the elected City Council and City staff do each day. Members provide valuable input and recommendations to the Mayor, City Council, and City Leadership Team on a variety of community issues.

Awesome Alert:

When we run calls and take people to the hospital, we typically don’t hear how the patient did after our care. Today, was not one of those days.

On August 27th, we responded to a motorcycle vs car. When we arrived, we found this young man trapped under a car with immediate life threatening injuries. Crews quickly freed him by lifting the car with the jaws of life and pulling him to safety. Crews had him out from under the car and on the way to a local trauma hospital within minutes of arrival.

Today, Tucker Sturgill was discharged from the hospital and immediately came by to meet the crews that helped him. We are so thankful for him coming by to speak with the crews. This is what it’s all about. Great Job A Shift and here’s to a speedy recovery Tucker!!

🚧 MoDOT Traffic Alert: Overnight work on Route 1

MoDOT crews are scheduled to begin pavement work tonight, September 16, along Missouri Route 1 between I-35 and 64th Street.

Work will take place nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through September 23 and will require intermittent closures of various cross-street entrances along the corridor. Drivers should expect changing access points and possible delays during overnight hours.

Join the Gladstone MO Police this Sunday, September 20, for an afternoon of family-friendly bingo at the Gladstone Community Center!

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with games beginning at 2 p.m. Come out for bingo, prizes, snacks, and a 50/50 raffle, all while supporting the Shop with a Cop program. 👮‍♂️🎁

All proceeds help provide local children with a special holiday shopping experience alongside Gladstone officers.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders and countless others who answered the call to help.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost and reflect on the strength and unity shown in the days that followed.

They are back! The Big Shoal Candlelight Cemetery Tours are open for registration.

Take a tour of the nearly 200 year old cemetery by candlelight and learn about some of the historic figures buried at the site--their stories told by reenactors in historical costume.

There are two tours offered: 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 17th. Tickets are $15 and pre-registration is required. HURRY! Tours fill up fast and you don't want to miss this!
