One of the biggest challenges our department is currently facing is a lack of daytime volunteers.
We are incredibly blessed to have 35 dedicated members on our roster, but during the weekday hours of Monday through Friday, we typically only have 3–4 firefighters available on a good day to respond on emergency calls. Emergencies don’t just happen at night or on weekends, and having enough personnel during the day is critical to serving our communities.
If you’re retired, work off-shifts, have a flexible schedule, or are simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we would love to have you join our team. No prior experience is necessary—we provide the training you need to become a volunteer firefighter.
Your community needs you, and just a few hours of your time could make a life-saving difference.
If you’re interested in learning more, stop by one of our four stations or send us a message on Facebook. We’d be happy to answer any questions and show you what volunteering with Timber Hollis Fire Protection District is all about.
