Under the direction of Mrs. Megan Dickerson, Barren Beyond the Bell 21st CCLC Coordinator, students at Hiseville Elementary helped care for the school garden throughout the school year and are now seeing the rewards of their hard work.

This week's harvest included:
🥬 13 bunches of celery
🥬 6 pounds of romaine lettuce
🥦 9 pounds of broccoli
🥦 3 pounds of cauliflower

This fresh, local produce will help provide healthy meals for summer camp students at Red Cross Elementary.

The first 2026 Barren County Summer Feeding meal kit pickup is tomorrow, and we're excited to serve families throughout our community!

If you have registered for the program, be sure to review pickup details before heading out. Information about pickup locations, times, site driving routes, and menus can be found at the link below.

Not signed up? You may still have an opportunity to receive a meal kit. During the last 30 minutes of a site's operating hours, any remaining kits may be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
